What’s Happening
The “Power of Forgiveness” is what happened at Oprah’s “Lifeclass”
I have to say that this event will be one that will be etched in my mind for a long time. Who would of thought that I would be so blessed to of sat literally in the front row and experience the powerful words of some of the world’s greatest inspirational & spiritual leaders.
Iyanla Vanzant came on stage and shared with us “how a vision saved my life” she said “if you have a vision, know that you will have the provision to pull it forward”. Is that not exactly what I needed to hear, as soon as those words left her mouth I cried, that was my confirmation that I was journeying on the right path with Hopeaholics.
Bishop T.D. Jakes spoke about going home and telling our husbands, boyfriends that were pregnant…he was very quick to say ” oh but not pregnant in the womb but pregnant in your mind” . He proceeded to tell us “if you have an idea or a thought, plant it in your mind, feed it, nurture it, watch it grow, and when it is time to birth it, push hard, and give it life!” Here once again was another powerful confirmation for me, the only thing I had left to do was birth Hopeaholics………..April 30th Hopeaholics was born & may I add that it was a beautiful stress free birth:)
Tony Robbins, now here is a man that is bigger than life. His picture should be beside the word POWERFUL. At a staggering 6’7″ you are in awe at his size, his voice, and his words, they just hit you with a thump. He had us jumping around, hugging total strangers, and screaming as loud as we could yes, yes, yes,…… but the most powerful words spoken were ” change your story, change your life”. One of the quotes from my new book says ” it is impossible to change anything that has happened to us on a physical level, however we have the ability to change our thoughts and core beliefs, & that too me is where our greatest hopes exist” So my take away from Tony is that each day provides us with a new opportunity to re-write our stories. You just have to believe and know that it can be done!
What do you say about Oprah. She walked out on the stage and 9000 people stood to their feet. We all applauded, some were chanting her name, others cried (me included). She was so full of grace and had such a gentleness about her when she spoke, that it actually took me back. She is one of the most powerful women around, and yet she is very much a REAL person. I know that must sound weird, but it is hard to explain. I think for me I was just so overwhelmed to actually have her standing 20′ in front of me, that everything else around me didn’t really exist. It had been a life dream of mine to see her in person and here she was! Her energy was truly magical.
With the theme of the evening being ” The Power of Forgiveness” I would like to leave you with some quotes from the “Oprah Lifeclass Team” that I found inspiring, and certainly thought provoking for any forgiveness that possibly I needed to do in my own life.
” Until you heal the wounds of your past, you will bleed into the future”
” What was done to my body, has nothing to do with who I am”
” Unforegiveness unchecked becomes a cancer in your soul”
” What you did no longer effects the way I choose to live now”
” Use your energy to serve others, pursue excellence, ignore success”
